uwantiwant Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
uwantiwant is an app for live shows, events and shared 3D worlds, operated by ANA Technologies, LLC ("we"). This page explains what we collect, why, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account: your email, a password hash, your username and your settings.
- Profile and connections: what you choose to show (name, photo, bio), and the people, groups and events you follow, join or block.
- What you post: messages and voice notes; photos, videos and files you send; clips and replays you share; what you build and trade in worlds; nearby world chat; answers you give to a host's questionnaire.
- Live rooms: your audio and video while you're live. Live rooms are recorded by our server.
- In worlds: your last spot in each world, so you come back where you left.
- Location: only when you join an event that asks you to be nearby. We check it against the venue once and don't store it.
- Purchases and earnings: what you bought or gave through Apple or Stripe, and, if you're a creator, your earnings and payouts. We never see your full card or bank number.
- Device: a push notification token, an id for this install, and basic server logs to keep the service running.
Why
- To run the app: your account, your rooms, worlds and messages, purchases, and payments to creators.
- To keep people safe: reports, moderation and blocking.
- We don't sell your data, we don't show ads and we don't track you across other apps.
Who else receives data
- Apple: in-app purchases, push notifications and place search.
- Stripe: card payments and creator payouts.
- LiveKit: live audio and video.
- Amazon Web Services and DataStax: hosting, databases, storage and video processing, in the United States.
- Resend: sign-up and password emails.
- Moonshot AI: the text of a message you ask us to translate, and, if a host runs matchmaking, a summary of your questionnaire answers.
- OpenAI: a venue's layout and the host's description when a host asks for a floor plan.
- If we add other features that send your data to an AI provider, we'll ask you first.
Who can see what
- What you post in a room or world is seen by the people in it.
- Hosts can see reports about their events and groups, remove messages, and mute, remove or ban people.
- A small named team of operators can review reports and act anywhere. Every operator action is logged.
How long we keep it
- Nearby world chat: 30 days.
- Message translations: 90 days.
- Server logs: 7 days.
- Payment records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Everything else: until you delete your account. When you delete a message or a recording, it's hidden from everyone at once, and we keep a copy on our servers. Hosts can delete their event's recordings at any time.
Deleting your account
- In the app: Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
- At once: your email, password and username are removed, your profile becomes "Deleted user" and is hidden from search, and your sessions and push notifications end.
- Messages you sent, in groups and directly, stay and are shown as from "Deleted user".
- Payment records stay for accounting.
- Subscriptions you bought through Apple keep renewing until you cancel them in your Apple account settings.
Your choices and rights
- You can see and change your profile and settings in the app, block people, and delete your account.
- To ask for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete something, email privacy@uwantiwant.com. We answer within 30 days.
Children
- uwantiwant is not for children under 13.
Changes
- If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
