Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 10, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, mobile applications, and related services offered by Uwantiwant ("Uwantiwant," "we," "us," or "our") (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or sending or receiving messages through the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at https://uwantiwant.com/privacy), which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Description of the Services
Uwantiwant provides a platform for users to create, manage, and participate in events; invite participants; communicate with other users; and exchange messages (including SMS and MMS where enabled) related to events and group conversations facilitated through the Services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the Services as a whole at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate.
4. Accounts, Security, and Invitations
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Hosts may invite others to events by phone number. If you provide another person's phone number, you represent that you have the authority and consent required to send them an invitation through the Services. You must not use the Services to harvest, purchase, or upload phone numbers without appropriate consent.
5. Electronic Communications and Text Messaging (SMS/MMS)
5.1 Consent and program description
By providing your mobile telephone number and agreeing to receive text messages where presented in the Services (for example, during account registration or phone verification), you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from or on behalf of Uwantiwant related to events and platform communications you have opted into, including invitations, reminders, group chat messages tied to events, and event updates. Message frequency varies based on your activity, events you host or join, and your notification settings.
5.2 Invitation-based messaging
If you are invited to an event by phone number and do not yet have an account, you may receive a single initial invitation message. No further SMS/MMS messages will be sent unless you opt in by replying with the keyword START or YES as instructed in that message.
5.3 Rates, carriers, and availability
Message and data rates may apply. Delivery is subject to your mobile carrier's network availability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. MMS availability may depend on your device and carrier.
5.4 Opt-out and help
You may opt out of Uwantiwant SMS/MMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message, and we will cease sending SMS/MMS except as required by law or for one-time transactional confirmations where permitted. For help, reply HELP or contact support@uwantiwant.com.
5.5 No third-party marketing use by Uwantiwant
Uwantiwant does not use SMS/MMS to send unrelated third-party promotions, does not sell your phone number, and does not share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
6. User Content and Conduct
You are responsible for content you submit, post, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Services ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content subject to the license you grant us below. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant that license and that your User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
You grant Uwantiwant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, perform, distribute, and create technical copies of User Content solely as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Services and to comply with law.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law or regulation;
- Harass, threaten, defame, abuse, or harm another person, or promote discrimination or violence;
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or deceptive communications, or use the Services to harvest or distribute phone numbers without consent;
- Impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation, or create accounts by automated or fraudulent means;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or accounts;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Services except where prohibited by law;
- Circumvent technical measures we use to protect the Services or other users;
- Use the Services to distribute malware or other harmful code;
- Collect or process sensitive categories of personal data about others without a lawful basis and consent.
We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement. We may remove or disable access to User Content that we believe violates these Terms or harms the Services or users.
8. Events, Hosts, and Participants
Events may be organized by independent users. Uwantiwant is a technology platform and is not responsible for the conduct of hosts, participants, or third parties at offline or online events. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others and for evaluating the safety and suitability of any event before participating.
8.1 Music hosts upload or play
Hosts are responsible for the music they upload or play in their events and worlds. By uploading or playing music, a host confirms that they own it or have permission to play it publicly on the Services. We remove music that is reported to us as infringing, as described in Section 10 (Copyright Complaints).
9. Intellectual Property
The Services, including software, text, graphics, logos, and branding, are owned by Uwantiwant or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.
10. Copyright Complaints
If you believe material on the Services infringes your copyright, please send a notice containing the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to support@uwantiwant.com. We may remove or disable access to material we believe in good faith to be infringing and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. UWANTIWANT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT MESSAGES WILL BE DELIVERED WITHIN A PARTICULAR TIME FRAME.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL UWANTIWANT, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, UWANTIWANT'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID UWANTIWANT FOR THE SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
13. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Uwantiwant and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or creates risk or legal exposure for Uwantiwant or others. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution.
15. Dispute Resolution; Governing Law
15.1 Informal resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@uwantiwant.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
15.2 Binding arbitration and class action waiver
If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and Uwantiwant agree to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court if the claim qualifies. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.
Class action waiver: YOU AND UWANTIWANT AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Unless both you and Uwantiwant agree otherwise, the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
If a court finds the class action waiver unenforceable as to all or some parts of a dispute, then the class arbitration provisions will not apply to those parts. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable in its entirety, the parties' agreement to arbitrate will be void with respect to that proceeding.
15.3 Opt-out of arbitration
You may opt out of the arbitration agreement by sending a written notice to support@uwantiwant.com within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name, address, and clear intent to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, the arbitration agreement will not apply to you, but all other terms will continue to apply.
15.4 Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act governs arbitration. For disputes not subject to arbitration, you and Uwantiwant consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where prohibited by law.
16. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Uwantiwant regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Notices to you may be provided by email, in-product messages, or posting to the Services.
